How it Works

Step-by-Step: The LSR Cleaning Experience

At Lost Sock Recovery, we make cleaning your little one’s gear simple and stress-free. Just drop off your items (or schedule a pickup), and we’ll carefully deep clean, sanitize, and dry them using safe, kid-friendly products ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER GUIDELINE. Within 24 hours, your car seats, strollers, or wagons are fresh, clean, and ready to go—because we know parents have enough messes to handle already.

Step One

Start by choosing a service on our website. We offer different services for Child Car Seats, Strollers, and Wagons; they are all listed below.

Step Two

Book your spot and pay online. We’ll email you an invoice once everything’s set.

Step Three

Booking online? You’ll sign the waiver right there — and we’ll send a copy straight to your inbox.

Step Four

Drop off your items at your appointment time — if you haven’t signed the waiver yet, you can do it when you arrive.

Step Five

Before cleaning, we take photos and videos of your items, then safely take them apart for a deep, detailed clean. We also search through our manufacturer guide database for the specific brand and model your item is by the serial number.

Step Six

Here’s how we bring your gear back to life:

We start by pre-treating stains with hot water & dish soap
If the manufacturer allows, then we steam fabric items only
bases and belts get vacuumed out, wiped down and sanitized with the correct cleaning solutions

Step Seven

Clean items and accessories are neatly packed in a clear, labeled laundry bag—fresh, organized, and ready to go!

Step Eight

When your gear is clean and ready, we’ll send a quick text, email, or phone call and arrange a pickup time.

Step Nine

Items are picked up at the scheduled time, hassle-free.
