Terms & Conditions

Service OVerview

  1. We provide professional cleaning for baby & child car seats (including infant carriers, convertible seats and boosters).

  2. Our service include vacuuming, fabric washing, sanitizing, and reassembly to the best of our ability.

Safety Disclaimer

  1. We are not responsible for the installation, reinstallation or adjustment of car seats in vehicles. Parents/Guardians are solely responsible for ensuring seats are correctly and safely reinstalled. 

  2. While we take care in cleaning, we are not liable for any safety issues that may arise from the use of the seat after cleaning. Please review manufacturer instructions before re-use. 

  3. We recommend parents/guardians check straps, buckles, and harness systems for proper function after cleaning.

Liability

  1. All items are cleaned at the owners risk

  2. We are not responsible for:

  3. Wear and tear, color fading or shrinkage that may occur during cleaning

  4. Damage to fabrics, padding or parts that are already worn, weakened or defective.

  5. Stains or odors that cant be completely removed despite our best efforts.

  6. If parts are missing, broken, or unsafe before service, we will notify you.

Theft or Loss-while in possession

  1. While Lost Sock Recovery takes reasonable care of all items in its possession, the business is not responsible for theft, fire or other loss or damage beyond its control.

  2. In the event of loss or damage, the Client agree that Lost Sock Recovery’s liability is strictly limited to the cost of the cleaning service performed, not the replacement value of the item.

household environment disclaimer

  1. Lost Sock Recovery operates from a home-based, pet-friendly environment where children and animals may be present. 

  2. While all reasonable care is taken to protect items during the cleaning process, Lost Sock Recovery is not liable for accidental damage (including but not limited to spills, scratches, or breakage) that may occur while items are on the premises.

hygiene & health

  1. We will not accept car seats that are heavily soiled with hazardous materials (e.g. mold, animal waste, infestations).

  2. For biohazard messes (vomit, urine, etc.) additional charges may apply.

infestation policy

  1. Items that show evidence of infestation (including but not limited to lice, bed bugs, or rodents) may be refused service or subject to an additional cleaning fee at the discretion of Lost Sock Recovery.

  2. Lost Sock Recovery reserves the right to immediately discontinue service if an infestation is discovered after cleaning has begun. No refunds will be issues in such cases.

pet-friendly environment

  1. Lost Sock Recovery operates out a pet-friendly home. While every effort is made to maintain a clean environment, customers with severe pet allergies should be aware that contact with pet dander may occur. By agreeing to services, the customer acknowledges this and releases Lost Sock Recovery from any liability related to pet allergies or sensitivities.

cleaning product sensitivity

  1. Lost Sock Recovery uses professional-grade cleaning products that are generally considered safe for use. However, sensitivities and allergic reactions may vary between individuals. Lost Sock Recovery is not responsible for any allergic reactions, health issues, or sensitivities that may occur as a result of exposure to cleaning products used during or after the service. Customers are encouraged to disclose any known sensitivities before services are preformed.

pricing & payment

  1. Prices are based on the type of seat and level of cleaning required. 

  2. Heavily soiled seats may incur additional charges, which will be discussed before work begins.

  3. Payment in full is required at the time of drop-off, unless prior written arrangements have been made with Lost Sock Recovery.

  4. Customers who choose to pay in person must pay the entire balance upfront before cleaning begins. Partial payments, deposits, or “pay later” arrangements are not accepted. 

  5. Items will not be released back to the customer until the full balance is paid.

turnaround time

  1. Standard turnaround time is 24 hours, but this may vary depending on seat condition.

  2. We will notify you if additional time is required.

drop-off & pick-up Policy

  1. All items must be dropped off and picked up at the Lost Sock Recovery business location during posted hours of operation.

  2. Clients are responsible for coordinating drop-off and pick-up within these hours. 

  3. Early or Late drop-offs/pick-ups outside of posted hours are not permitted unless prior arrangements have been made and confirmed. 

  4. Lost Sock Recovery is not responsible for items left outside of the premises or unattended.

delays

  1. Standard turnaround time for Lost Sock Recovery cleaning services is 24 hours from drop-off, unless otherwise communicated at the time of service.

  2. While Lost Sock Recovery makes every effort to meet this 24-hour timeframe, delays may occur to service volume, item condition or unforeseen circumstances.

  3. Lost Sock Recovery is not liable for any inconvenience, costs, or loss of use resulting from delays in service.

unclaimed items

  1. Clients are expected to pick up their items within a reasonable time after being notified that cleaning is complete.

  2. Lost Sock Recovery will make at least four attempts to contact the Client using the information provided at drop-off.

  3. If an item is not picked up within 30 days of the completion date, the item will be considered abandoned.

  4. Abandoned items may be donated or disposes of at sole discretion of Lost Sock Recovery, and the client releases Lost Sock Recovery from any liability once this period has passed.

cancellations & refunds

  1. Cancellations must be made at least 6 hours before the appointment.

  2. Due to the nature of cleaning services, all sales are final and refunds are not offered once cleaning has been completed. 

  3. If you are unsatisfied with the quality of cleaning due to our workmanship, please notify us within 24 hours. We will gladly re-clean the affected area at no additional cost.

  4. Lost Sock Recovery is not responsible for new stains, spills or damage that occur after the service had been completed.

customer responsibility

  1. Customers must disclose any known issues with the seat (broken buckles, missing straps, recalls, etc).

  2. Customers are responsible for reinstalling & ensuring the seat meets current safety standards before use.

Waiver

  1. Customers are required to complete and sign the service waiver before any cleaning services begin. This must be signed and submitted online prior to drop-off, or signed in person at the time of drop-off. A failure to submit a signed waiver may result in delays to your service.

agreement

  1. By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
